V-79-57344-38397 Vmare Backups fail with Error 0xe00095fd - Backup Exec failed to get allocated blocks for the virtual disk.
Cause
ESX host is Vmware ESX 5.5.
Resolution
Vmware ESX 5.5 is no longer supported with Backup Exec 21.x or 21.3.
Backup Exec version 20.6 (and above) will offer only minimal support for vCenter Server 5.5 and ESXi 5.5. https://www.veritas.com/content/support/en_US/article.100046727
WORKAROUND
Perform Agent based Backups of Virtual Machines. Check the Backup Exec Software Compatibility List (SCL) for supported OS version for Agent Backups.
There are currently no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in the current or previous versions of the software at the present time. While this issue may be resolved in a future major revision of the software at a later time, it is not currently scheduled for any release.
