This issue occurs due to the inclusion of system configuration files (such as web parts and system lists) within the backup set selection. SharePoint Online restricts direct API read access to these default system components during incremental or full backups.

1. Open Backup Job Configuration:
Launch the Backup Exec console, navigate to the Backup and Restore tab, select the affected Microsoft 365 backup job, and click Edit.


2. Navigate to M365 Settings:
In the left menu of the job properties window, select Backup Options, and then select Microsoft 365.


3. Exclude System Lists:
Under the SharePoint Online section, check the box labeled Exclude System Lists. Click OK to save the changes.


4. Run the Backup Job:
Right-click the modified job and select Run Now to verify that the job completes successfully.
