0xe000e213 - An error occurred while running the malware can job with Symantec Protection Engine because the real-time protection is enabled for Microsoft Defender. Disable the protection and try the operation again.
Cause
If there are multiple Anti-virus software running on the server, then they may interfere during the scan process performed by the scan engine selected for malware scan.
Resolution
It is recommended to turn off the real-time scan of the other Anti-virus software while performing malware scan.
For example : If the server has the Microsoft Defender Real-time scan option turned on , please keep this off while you perform the malware scan on the backup set using SPE (Symantec Protection Engine).
Issue/Introduction
The malware scan job fails immediately with the message "error:0xe000e213 - An error occurred while running the malware can job with Symantec Protection Engine because the real-time protection is enabled for Microsoft Defender. Disable the protection and try the operation again.
