0xe0000900 - The requested media is not listed in the media index and could not be mounted. To add the media's catalog information to the disk-based catalogs, run an inventory operation on the media and resubmit the Catalog operation

Additional Error:
Catalog- //:/
Null backupset. Possible reason:
Cataloging SW Compressed ArcServe Tape. Backup Exec does not support this operation.

Cause

This issue can occur if certain tape\tapes in the sequence are missing or corrupt.

Resolution

Workaround:

If all tapes are available, then after the catalog operation check if the required .fh and .xml files are created. In some conditions, the resource name of the NDMP volume may be shown in an incorrect format. This can be corrected by changing the resource name from the XML file and then the sets can be browsed in the restore view. Please contact Veritas Technical support to discuss this issue.

Note:- It is recommended to backup the on disk catalog files for the NDMP backup sets before they are truncated.

Issue/Introduction

Re-cataloging of the NDMP backup set may fail if post catalog truncation has occurred. While attempting to restore files and folders from a large NDMP tape backup set, the restore selections may display "None". The backup operation was completed successfully, but during restore operations, the user is prompted to inventory and catalog the media. After completing this process, the following errors are encountered: "0xe0000901 - The storage-based catalog data was not written during backup for a given backup set.". As a result, backed up items aren't being displayed in Restore view.
