Cause
Microsoft implemented a modernized VMware stack which is not compatible with the recent Azure SDK libraries used by Backup Exec. Considering this limitation, Backup Exec discontinued the Instant Cloud Recovery feature for VMWare workloads. Instant Cloud Recovery should continue to work with Hyper V replicated workloads.
Resolution
At this time, there are no plans to address this issue through a patch or hotfix in the current or previous versions of the software. Although this issue may potentially be resolved in a future major revision, it is not currently scheduled for any upcoming release.
