Cause

This error code indicates that the login account lacks the necessary privileges to perform the desired action.

The root cause of this issue is an outdated agent version on the affected servers. The outdated agent does not have the required permissions to establish trust and perform the necessary tasks. 

 

Resolution

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  1. Uninstall the outdated agent:

    • Access the affected server.
    • Go to the Control Panel and open "Programs and Features."
    • Locate the outdated agent in the list of installed programs.
    • Right-click on the agent and select "Uninstall."
    • Follow the prompts to complete the uninstallation process.
  2. Install the latest agent:

    • Download the latest version of the agent from the official Backup Exec website.
    • Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to install the agent.
    • Ensure that the installation is successful and there are no errors reported.
  3. Reboot the server:

    • After installing the latest agent, restart the affected server.
    • Allow the server to fully reboot and establish all necessary connections.
