V-79-57344-49201 - Cannot run job. The subscription period has expired.

 

Cause

The cause of this error is that the subscription period for Backup Exec has expired.  At license expiration, Backup Exec will no longer allow performance of backups.

 

Resolution

To resolve this issue, contact the Backup Exec renewals team or reseller to obtain active licensing.

 

Workaround

If there is an available trial period left on the installation of Backup Exec, the install/upgrade wizard can be run and the licensing removed to go into trial mode.  Alternatively, if there is a new version of Backup Exec available, the existing version can be upgraded to use the trial software for the new version.

Issue/Introduction

Attempting to run a backup job results in the error message "V-79-57344-49201 - Cannot run job. The subscription period has expired." This error prevents the backup job from running successfully.
