In Veritas Desktop and Laptop Option (DLO), you may encounter an issue where certain clients appear as disabled and are unable to be backed up. This guide will provide instructions on how to enable disabled clients in DLO.

How To Enable Disabled Clients in Veritas DLO:

Verify Client Status:

    • In the DLO Admin Console, a user can be disabled and a machine can be disabled. Check the DLO server to confirm that the user or computer is listed as disabled.




       
    • If a user or computer is disabled, right click and choose Enable
  1. Check Client Configuration:

    • On the DLO machine, verify that the users associated with the disabled clients are enabled.
    • If necessary, disable and re-enable the users manually to refresh their status.
  2. Check Profile Settings:

    • Verify the profile the user is in is enabled.  If the profile is disabled, all users using that profile will be disabled.
      Right click and choose Enable


       
  3. Check to make sure users are not disabled globally.
    • In the DLO Admin Console, click on Tools -> Options -> Global Settings, Options.  Make sure "All Desktop  Agents" is not checked as this is in the Disabled section used when the server is in maintenance mode.
