Instead of right clicking the vCenter server, right click the backup job, then select edit (Figure 4).

There are currently no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in the current or previous versions of the software at the present time. While this issue may be resolved in a future major revision of the software at a later time, it is not currently scheduled for any release. Issue/Introduction
VMware-specific settings (such as Transport mode or enable asynchronous read) are missing (Figure 1) when right clicking a vCenter server (or ESX server) and editing a forever incremental backup job (Figure 2).
