Error Message
Final error: 0xe0000904 - An error occurred while retrieving catalog information.
Cause
Exchange Online Plan Only (No SharePoint or OneDrive)
SharePoint and OneDrive Group Items are selected in the backup job.
Resolution
1. Edit the M365 Backup job selections.
2. Under the Groups tab unselect “Group Files” and “Group Sites”. These selections are related to SharePoint and OneDrive that do not exist.
3. Save the Job
4. Run the Consolidation Job.
Issue/Introduction
Backup Exec for Microsoft 365 Consolidated job fails with 0xe0000904 - An error occurred while retrieving catalog information.
This issue occurs when the Microsoft 365 Online plan is licensed for Exchange only.
