FATAL ERROR: Error 1714. The older version of Veritas Backup Exec cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group.

Cause

Missing patches from the base version.

Resolution

1. Suggested to install all the pending patches.

             BE Console >> Install Update and Features>> View Install Updates >> Click here for new updates.

2. Installed all pending patches for the current version.

3. Ran an upgrade installer.

4. Upgrade successful.
