Description

The Microsoft Visual C++ (VC++) 2012 version is a prerequisite for installing Veritas System Recovery 23 but after the installation is completed, "Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable" can be uninstalled.

No feature and function of VSR 23 has a dependancy on VC++ 2012. 

VC++ 2012 is only needed for VSR 23 installation support.

 

This issue is currently under investigation by Veritas Technologies LLC. Pending the outcome of the investigation, this issue may be resolved by way of a patch or hotfix in current or future revisions of the software.
