Files from local system are not available for creating a new System Recovery Disk.
The Windows RE partition is not enabled.
In the Creation Options menu item of the Veritas System Recovery Disk Creation Wizard window, the Typical option is grayed out and only the Advanced radio button can be chosen. Messages regarding files and ADK are seen beside each selection.
If Windows ADK is not installed or is not detected by the SRD creation wizard:
Under the grayed out Typical selection: Files from local system are not available for creating a new System Recovery Disk.
Under the Advanced selection: The Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK with Windows Preinstallation Environment) is not installed on this computer. Before proceeding, you must download and install the ADK.

If ADK is installed and is detected by the SRD creation wizard:
Under the grayed out Typical selection: Files from local system are not available for creating a new System Recovery Disk.
Under the Advanced selection: The Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK with Windows Preinstallation Environment) is installed on this computer.

To enable the Typical option, the Windows RE partition must be enabled. Verify that the Windows RE partition is enabled by following the steps below
1. Open an administrative command prompt
2. Type REAGENTC /INFO to verify the Windows RE status

3. If it is disabled, type REAGENTC /ENABLE

4. Reboot the machine
5. Launch the Veritas Recovery Disk Creator and attempt to create the SRD using the Typical option. The Advanced Option will still prompt that the Windows ADK is installed or not. If not, the Advanced option cannot be used.
