0xe00003bf - Cannot open one or more mail messages because of unknown Exchange Web Service errors. 
V-79-57344-959 - Unable to open the item Database - skipped

 

Cause

The job log reports the above error because of a connection related issue.
 

Resolution


This issue is resolved in Backup Exec 22.2 and 23.

This issue is cosmetic in nature, as the actual data is restored.

 

Issue/Introduction

Backup Exec restore job of Exchange mails reports the following error in the job log although e-mails are restored successfully.
0xe00003bf - Cannot open one or more mail messages because of unknown Exchange Web Service errors.

This error is seen when the data is restored from a Backup to Disk device.
This error is not seen when the same data is restored from a Tape device.
