Description
Error Message
None; the manually launched job will run as Incremental
Cause
Currently System Recovery only honours the setting "Start a new recovery point set" for scheduled jobs.
Resolution
This issue is resolved in System Recovery 23.1
Workaround:
Schedule the job
OR
At the required time interval for a new Recovery Point Set; use the VSR Graphical User Interface (GUI) to launch the job.
To do this, select “Run Now” in the “Run or Manage Backup” tab in the VSR GUI.
Issue/Introduction
With Veritas System Recovery (VSR) you are able to create a job without a schedule.
At the same time you can launch any job from outside the VSR GUI by using the VSR icon in the task bar.
When using both the above options together; an unscheduled job and launching the job from the task bar; the job setting of "Start a new recovery point set", will be ignored and all the jobs launched this way will be incremental backups.
