Error Message

Figure 1 is an example of a Japanese screen. The display language changes to English after clicking "Recover This Computer." (Figure 2)

This issue is resolved in Backup Exec 22.2.


Workaround:

1. Open the command prompt from Utilities tab.

2. Type regedit.exe and open Windows Registry

3. Add the following to the language registry.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Veritas\Backup Exec For Windows\Backup Exec

Value: Language

Type: String (REG_SZ)

Data: The following two-letter abbreviations

• DE = German
• EN = English
• ES = Spanish
• FR = French
• IT  = Italian
• JP = Japanese
• PT = Portuguese
• ZH = Chinese Simplified
• CH = Chinese Traditional
• RU = Russian
• KO = Korean
