This is a section from Duplicate Job Log. This is where the deduplication percentage can be checked
for the VMware Virtual Machine GRT based duplicate job ( to cloud deduplication storage). If no changes or relatively less changes are happening on the virtual machine but deduplication percentage is less during duplicate to cloud then this is the correct technote being referred to. The direct VMware GRT enabled virtual machine backup to cloud deduplication storage is not impacted.
Deduplication Stats::PDDO Stats (multi-threaded stream used) for (SRVBKUP): scanned: 563425394 KB, CR sent: 460874761 KB, CR sent over FC: 0 KB, dedup: 18.2%, cache disabled, where dedup space saving:1.3%, compression space saving:16.9%
This job ran as a set copy job.
The duplicate job data chunking ( to cloud deduplication storage) is not happening in the same manner as direct to cloud dedupe case.
