This issue is resolved in Backup Exec 22.2.
Issue/Introduction
When creating a Point in Time (PIT) restore job of a Synthetic backup set which has Encryption enabled, at the final stage of submitting / saving the job, the following error is displayed: “Unable to create the restore job.”
This issue is only seen seen when creating the restore job as Point in Time (PIT); any other type of restore for the same backup set is working fine.
This issue is not seen when the Synthetic backup chain has no Encryption enabled.
