DLO Administration service will not remain running after upgrading to DLO 9.8

Verbose DLOAdminSvcu.log shows the following error ;

dloadminsvcu.exe, 924:, T>, EdgeServerCertificateMonitor.cpp( 147 ), EdgeServerCertificateMonitor::PerformCheck():: Connecting to host, edgeservername:443
dloadminsvcu.exe, 924:, E>, EdgeServerCertificateMonitor.cpp( 151 ), EdgeServerCertificateMonitor::PerformCheck() Failed to connect to host edgeservername:443
dloadminsvcu.exe, 924:, T>, EdgeServerCertificateMonitor.cpp( 187 ), EdgeServerCertificateMonitor::PerformCheck() No certificate present for this edge server

 

Cause

This issue can be caused by either;

Edge\IO Server components having been installed in the past, references still exist in the DBs, but no Edge or IO Server components are installed now. 

   or 

The Edge server is configured, but cannot be reached to verify the certificate.

 

Resolution

Upgrade to DLO version 9.8.2, where this issue is resolved. 

 

Issue/Introduction

Desktop and Laptop Option (DLO) Administration service will not remain running, after upgrading to DLO 9.8. The service will start and show as Running, but will stop again after a few seconds.
