Description
Backup Exec 22.1 now supports the following workloads as part of its Microsoft 365 protection feature.
| Exchange | User Mailbox, Group Mailbox, Shared Mailbox, Archive Mailbox, Public Folder |
| OneDrive | User OD, Group Files |
| SharePoint | User Site, Group site, Communication Site, Classic site |
| Teams | Settings and Channel Tabs, Posts/Conversations, Teams Sites. |
The below tables outline the different kinds of entities and which tabs to protect them from in the Backup Browse selections.
Exchange Online

User Mailbox |
User Mailbox can be backed up from the User Tab by selecting the user. It can also be backed up from the group tab by selecting the group the user belongs to. |

Group mailbox can be backed up from the Group tab by selecting the group. |

Shared Mailbox is treated as a user mailbox. Selections can be done in same manner as a user mailbox. |

Archive Mailbox |
Archive Mailbox can be backed up from the User Tab by selecting the user. It can also be backed up from the group tab by selecting the group the user belongs to. |

Public folder can be backed up from the Public Folders tab |
OneDrive

Communication site can be backed up from the Sites tab by selecting the individual sites |

Teams

Channel Posts |
Channel Posts can be backed up from the TEAMS tab by selecting the individual teams. Posts from all channels within that team will be backed up. |

Teams SharePoint site can be backed up from the Teams tab by selecting the individual Team. |

Settings and Channel Tabs |
Settings and Channel Tabs should be selected to backup metadata for each Team being backed up. Note: Teams Data and Settings are always backed up if you select any or both the Channel Posts and Teams Site options. |
Notes for Teams Plugin
1. The Teams plugin has the capability to be able to backup all three Teams entities together and restore them together.
2. Backup Exec can also handle restore sequencing. Creating a team before restoring posts, files, and data.
3. Backup Exec does not backup Tabs/Apps data when it resides in any location otherthan Teams SharePoint site.
4. The restore will result in functioning Tabs/Apps only when relevant data is available.
