Cause

Some drivers which are needed to boot Windows 11 are missing in the SRD image.

 

Resolution

Install ADK for Windows 11 21H2 on the machine where System Recovery 23 is installed (see links below).

Then create a new SRD ISO image with Advanced mode

Issue/Introduction

Unable to boot from a SRD ISO image that is created with Typical mode on the Windows 11 Education and Pro N Editions. This issue is reported on the only virtual machines.

For instance: The SRD ISO image is created with Typical mode on the Windows 11 Education and Pro N Editions.
When selecting the option EFI VMWare Virtual SATA CDROM on Boot Manager screen and then pressing any key to boot from CD/DVD after attaching the SRD ISO image to a new Virtual machine, the machine fails to boot and Boot Manager screen appears again.
