Error Message

Getting error "The page cannot be displayed" on license installation wizard.

• One possible cause is the .Net framework needs a repair
• Another possible cause is an invalid entry under the following registry key (presence of previous version Backup Exec string value) : HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\UpgradeCodes\3524D972551B58E4F98B4FCC185BFB8B

Please take a backup of registry before following the instructions.

Warning: Incorrect use of the Windows registry editor may prevent the operating system from functioning properly. Great care should be taken when making changes to a Windows registry. It is recommended that a complete backup of the registry and workstation be made prior to making any registry changes.

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\UpgradeCodes\3524D972551B58E4F98B4FCC185BFB8B 

In the above Key, there will be more than 1 string value with GUID, which is causing this issue (Previous Backup Exec string value). 
 
Delete the invalid string value with GUID representing old version of Backup Exec to resolve the issue. Only the string value with GUID of currently installed Backup Exec should be present there. 
 
After deleting the value, run the repair or license install wizard to verify it works as expected.

You can find which is the GUID for the currently installed Backup Exec, from the below registry entry as well. You must remove the string value of the BE which is not present in the BE server after taking backup of registry.
