Cause

The specified sv2i file is ignored, and "Recover My Computer" always displays the latest recovery point set.

Resolution

Workaround:

1. Stop "Veritas System Recovery" service.
2. Rename C:\Users\All Users\Veritas\VERITAS SYSTEM RECOVERY\[Computer name].sv2i to [Computer name].sv2i.old.
3. Rename C:\Users\All Users\Veritas\VERITAS SYSTEM RECOVERY\History folder to History_Old.
4. Start "Veritas System Recovery" service.
5. Launch VSR Console, and click [Tasks][Recover My Computer][System].
6. "Use alternatve system index (.sv2i) file" is selected by default.
   No recovery points are displayed in the list of the recovery points.
7. Select a sv2i file that you need.
8. The recovery points that you need are displayed.
9. Restore the recovery points if needed.
10. Stop "Veritas System Recovery" service.
11. Rename C:\Users\All Users\Veritas\VERITAS SYSTEM RECOVERY\[Computer name].sv2i.old to [Computer name].sv2i
12. Delete C:\Users\All Users\Veritas\VERITAS SYSTEM RECOVERY\History, and rename C:\Users\All Users\Veritas\VERITAS SYSTEM RECOVERY\History_Old folder to History.
13. Start "Veritas System Recovery" service.

This issue is currently under investigation by Veritas. Pending the outcome of the investigation, this issue may be resolved by way of a patch or hotfix in current or future revisions of the software.
