Issue/Introduction

Restore backup sets created by this job feature may not function as expected after a Backup Exec server rename. After renaming the Backup Exec media server the feature to “Restore backup sets created by this job” may not function as expected. After a renaming the Backup Exec server, all local backup jobs are migrated or moved under the new Backup Exec server name with the selection list updated to reflect the new Backup Exec Media server name. This ensures continued backups of the local Backup Exec media server. Previous backup sets before changing the computer name can be restored by selecting the previous Backup Exec media server name. Figure 1 Figure 1 When right clicking a Backup Job under the New Backup Exec Media server name | “Restore backup sets created by this job”, results in “This job does not have any backup sets to restore from".
