Bengine.exe gets crashed due to entries that are added in catalog files while backing up a virtual machine that has 16 RDM disks or more.

WORKAROUND:

1. Stop all Backup Exec services.

2. Browse C:\Program Files\Backup Exec\Catalogs folder\\

3. Remove the .xml file that is related with the backup job or rename Catalogs folder.

4. Start all Backup Exec services.

5. Edit the job to back up a virtual machine that has 16 RDM disks or more.

6. Uncheck the virtual machine name in the left pane in [Browse]. (See Figure 1)

7. Check the only VMDK files except independent VMDK files. (See Figure 2)

NOTE: The checkboxes for independent VMDK files are blank.
