Description

CHM help files downloaded from the Veritas Download Center open with an error or are blank. Errors can be:

• The help window opens but is blank
• Navigation to the webpage was canceled
• The address is not valid

Solution

Certain versions of Microsoft Windows block CHM help files as a security measure to prevent the spread of malicious code. If you have downloaded the CHM help file from the Veritas Download Center or another trusted source, follow these steps to unblock the file so that content will display correctly:

1. Right click on the *.chm help file in Windows Explorer and select Properties
2. At the bottom of the General Properties pane, click or tick the checkbox for Unblock, then click Apply
