The logon account is not a member of the Backup Exec operators (beoper) group on the Remote Agent for Linux or UNIX server. Add the account to the beoper group on the remote computer, or chose another logon account that is a member of the beoper group
Cause 1:
The logon account is not a member of the Backup Exec operators (beoper) group on the Remote Agent for Linux or UNIX server.
Cause 2:
When RALUS is first installed, the script carries out the user registration for the Root user, adding entries to both the /etc/passwd and /etc/group files.
The above error will occur if you need to change the existing RALUS user, to reconfigure access to the Linux server, but do not add the new user entries in both /etc/passwd and /etc/group files.
For cause 1:
Add the account to the beoper group on the remote computer, or choose another logon account that is member of the 'beoper' group.
For cause 2:
Ensure that the new RALUS authentication account is added to both /etc/passwd and /etc/group files, before attempting to re-Establish the Trust from the Backup Exec server.
Please see your Linux or UNIX documentation about how to add users to these files.
