Cause
One of the reasons for the ‘Instantly Recover a VM’ or ‘Validate VM for Recovery’ option to be grayed out is that the virtual machine was removed from the Backup Exec UI and subsequently re-added.
Resolution
Backup Exec database record related to this virtual servers needs to be modified to fix this issue. Please contact Technical Support for assistance.
