"Unable to forward requests to another media server"
Cause
The Issue is generally seen when the Backup Exec configuration is migrated from previous to a new Backup Exec Server. It may happen that the previous device information may still be present in Backup Exec Database Device table.
Resolution
Remove the previous Backup Exec server or device entry from device table of Backup Exec Database (BEDB).
Note:Please contact Veritas Technical Support for assistance resolving this issue. A Backup of the Backup Exec Database is recommended before making any changes in the BEDB.
Issue/Introduction
Error message "Unable to forward requests to another media server" appears while updating Tape Media properties. This issue can also occur when attempting to perform other tape media such as updating cleaning media count.
