Cause
A VPN Client is running, which is disrupting communications.
Network Security or Firewalls may also have the same impact.
Resolution
Configure the SMTP settings in VSR, when the VPN Client is not running.
Issue/Introduction
SMTP settings will not configure successfully in Veritas System Recovery (VSR), if a VPN Client is running.
Even if settings are correct, when attempting to Apply, VSR will report the error;
Error ECE30072: Check the fully-qualified domain name and port number of the SMTP Server
