The request is made to export the data, but DLO is not advised of any failure writing the files, before it removes the Archived entries from the database.

This can occur if the 'Archival Path' is set to a custom location and .. ;

• the path given is invalid       
• the DLO Service account does not have Full Control (read\write) Permissions to that path and below.

The account needs to be able to create a sub-folder in that path and to export the Archived data .cab files into that sub-folder.

 

The default 'Archival Path' is to the DLO installation folders (C:\Program Files\Veritas\Veritas DLO\Archived_Audit_Data) which the DLO Service account will already have rights to.

 

Ensure that the custom 'Archival Path' is correct and that the DLO Service account is granted Full Control (read\write) Permissions to that folder and below.

Additional 'error-checking' to prevent this scenario, is currently scheduled to be included in the next major revision of the product.
