Description

Error Message

Cause

In earlier versions of DLO, if a User Machine Mapping was in place and a user who was not included in that mapping attempted to run the DLO Client on that machine, the DLO Client would open and immediately close, with no other indication.

From DLO 9.4 the above warning message is now displayed, advising a user that they are unable to log on due to a defined mapping in place.

Resolution

  • If the User needs to run the DLO Client on that Machine, a new User Machine Mapping entry will need to be created in the DLO Administration Console, Mapping the User to that Machine.
  • If a Mapping already exists between that User and Machine, but is still not allowing the DLO Client to run, ensure that the Mapping has been defined just as   and not <Domain\User> . If this has been defined incorrectly, remove that Mapping from the DLO Administration Console, redefine and retry the DLO Client.
  • If User Mapping is configured against a Machine, that will prevent New DLO Users being added using Automatic User Assignment (AUA), as the DLO Client will be refused access before the User can be created. New Users can only be created using AUA on a machine where no Mapping is configured. Alternatively, create the Users in the DLO Administration Console and then define a User Machine Mapping to the Machine, to allow the DLO Client to start.
