It is observed that with Backup Exec 21 Remote Agent installed and Exchange Server is restarted, upon starting Microsoft Exchange Services fail to start. This may happen as one of the dependent service has timed out and other services are waiting to start. An issue has been seen with Microsoft Exchange Active Directory Topology services and following events are logged.

Backup Exec 21 Update 2 - Backup Exec 21.2
Note: The Patch need to be installed on Backup Exec Server. Ensure to update the remote agent on the server experiencing this issue.
Workaround:
Install Backup Exec 20.6 Remote Agent on the Exchange Server.
OR
Upon restart of the server try to start the Exchange Services manually.
