Note:
Provisioned Size of Disk - The size of HDD allocated to the VM. If disk size allocated to the VM is 100 GB then for VMWare the full and incremental will show 100 GB as the full backup statitics.
However the set will only use the used capacity of the VM and shrink it further when targeted to Deduplication Storage folder.
VHDX used capacity - If a VM has a HDD of 100 GB and only 60 GB is used then BE will backup and only use 60 GB in the Backend Storage ( Lower , if Backend Storage is Deduplication Storage). The Incremental will backup the changes but show Full Size + Incremental Size, example - 60 GB Full + 5 GB Incremental = 65 GB Incremental Backup. Since the Issue is only cosmetic, the Incremental in both the cases will only consume the actual Incremental size or the actual full backup size as reported in the Job Log.
This is a cosmetic Issue. Refer Job Log for actual Backup statistics and what is added to the Deduplication or Disk storage. ( Only used capacity is added during full backup and changes during the incremental backup ).
Backup to a normal Disk Storage ( non Dedupe folder ) will show correct statistics in the Disk Storage --> Backup Set section.
