Backup Exec dynamic/auto inclusion feature automatically includes all the newly added resources or drives on the server when server is selected at Top level.

Description

When Backup Job is created by selecting the Top Level Objects (example : Server Name) all the resources of the servers are automatically selected which also applies to the newly added resources or drives.

Example of server selected at top level : 

To avoid dynamic/automatic inclusion of new drives or resources added to the server, create a backup job using steps mentioned below:

1) Un-check the server from Top level.

2) Select the required drives and resources individually.

Example of all the resources selected individually : 

NOTE:

1. A job created by selecting individual resources does include any newly added resources or drives to the selection list. Newly added resources or drives would be visible in selected list but not automatically selected.

2. Creating the backup by selecting the top-level objects (example: Server Name) will automatically turn ON Simplified Disaster Recovery indicator. This is necessary for recovering server using Simplified Disaster Recovery.
