Install Backup Exec System Recovery

Before you install System Recovery, ensure that your computer meets the system requirements. Review the Readme file on the installation DVD for any known issues.

System requirements for Backup Exec System Recovery

1. Double click on the "Browser.exe" file from the DVD media to launch a System Recovery installation. 

2. This will display the installation language selections. Select Language and click OK.
 

3. Select Install Now on Welcome to Product Installation screen to continue with the installation.

4. Select I Accept to accept the License Agreement and click Next to continue with the installation.

5. Select the type of installation (Typical installation selected by default).

b]Custom Install

a]Typical Install: Automatically installs features required to perform backup and restore.

• Select a Destination Folder to install System Recovery. By default, the location is C:\Program Files\Veritas\Veritas System Recovery\. It can be changed if required by clicking on the Change button. Click Next to continue.

• Review the System Recovery Installation summary and click Install to begin the Installation.

Note: The installation process may take several minutes to complete. During the process, the progress bar may not move for several minutes.

• After the installation is complete, the following options are displayed: 
  • Reboot your computer
  • View the readme
  • Participate in survey
• Click Next --> Finish after selecting the appropriate check boxes

Note: A reboot may be required to complete the installation.
