Named Pipes are not enabled on the selected SQL Server.

Cause

Named Pipes are not enabled for the SQL server

Resolution

  1. Open the 'Run' window
  2. Type 'CLICONFG'
  3. Enable TCP/IP and Named Pipes protocols
  4. Restart the SQL service and the SQL Server Agent services
  5. Run the setup again

Please make sure that 'Named Pipes' and 'TCP/IP' protocols are enabled for the SQL instance using SQL Server Configuration Manager.
