Product version

Veritas System Recovery 18, 21

Cause

Unable to load auto-mined SmartRAID driver because a part of file that is related with SmartRAID is not copied into the SRD.

Resolution

This issue has been resolved in Veritas System Recovery 21.1. Please upgrade to Veritas System Recovery 21.1, and create the new SRD again, and boot from the SRD.

Workaround:
Please perform either 1 or 2.

1. Remove the SmartRAID SOP_PQI_Controller on "Storage and Network Drivers" screen during the SRD creation and manually add the driver inf file (SmartPqi.inf).

2. Install ADK 10 1809, and create a SRD with Advanced mode.
Note: ADK 10 1809 already has a SmartRAID driver.

Issue/Introduction

System Recovery Disk (SRD) does not load SmartRAID driver that is automatically 'mined' during the creation of SRD. All disk drives that are connected to the SmartRAID controller are not detected on SRD. (See Figure 1) Figure 1:
