Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.ManagementObjectNotFoundException: The operation couldn't be performed because object 'SymantecEWSRestoreThrottlingPolicyExchange2013' couldn't be found on '. at Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.Task.ThrowError(Exception exception, ErrorCategory errorCategory, Object target, String helpUrl) at Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.GetObjectWithIdentityTaskBase`2.InternalProcessRecord() at Microsoft.Exchange.Management.SystemConfigurationTasks.GetThrottlingPolicy.InternalProcessRecord() at Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.Task.b__91_1() at Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.Task.InvokeRetryableFunc(String funcName, Action func, Boolean terminatePipelineIfFailed)

Cause

When the Beremote service version 20.x starts up after the install/upgrade on a Exchange server, it will look for if this policy exists. If it does not exist the error will get recorded followed by an informational event (ID1) that the policy has not been set. Consequent service startups will not log anything unless this policy is removed.

The throttling policy is set to ensure that any mailbox restores are not restricted in their performance

Resolution

No action required. Events logged are just informational

Issue/Introduction

When the Remote Agent service starts up after the install/upgrade to version 20.x it will check for the existence of a throttling policy, if it does not exist it will log an event id 6
