"Final error: 0xe0001215 - The staging location on the Backup Exec server does not have enough disk space to stage the restore job. Click Configuration and Settings, click Backup Exec Settings, and then click Granular Restore Technology to change the staging location, and then run the job again."

Cause

This may occur when the GRT restore job has two selections (e.g. D:\ and E:\) and both volumes reside on the same VHDX and the backup job was targeted to tape storage.

Resolution

Workaround:

Select one volume at a time for restore.

 

There are currently no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in the current or previous versions of the software at the present time. While this issue may be resolved in a future major revision of the software at a later time, it is not currently scheduled for any release.  If you feel this issue has a direct business impact for you and your continued use of the product, please contact your Veritas Sales representative or the Veritas Sales group to discuss these concerns.
