Description

Problem A restore job restoring data from cloud or remote disk storage location may fail when attempting to access backup data.

 

Error Message

V-79-57344-33084 -Error - Mount failed. The system cannot find the path specified.

Cause

This issue is typically caused by a connection issue to the backup data though in the case of a Domain Controller (DC) restore, if the status of the restore target is incorrect, the error may be present.

Resolution

Connectivity - Confirm connectivity with storage location, either cloud or remote disk.

System State restore of DC -To restore System State to a computer that is a domain controller, you must start the computer in safe mode. Then, use the Directory Services Restore Mode to perform the restore.
