Cause

This is only seen if SP1 has been installed using one of the following methods:

  • New install of VSR 18 SP1 using the 18.0.1 install media (this already includes SP1)
  • Original install was of VSR 18, then upgrade to SP1 using patch (https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100043468.html) was performed

Resolution

If the version of VSR shows as 18.0.1.56582 (check this by going to Help--About in the VSR console), then you can safely ignore the prompt to install SP1.

NOTE: Even if you select the option to install SP1 in this scenario, the installation is blocked in the background as the installer will detect the the same version already being present.

This issue is resolved in SP2 (18.0.2) for VSR 18.
