Veritas Backup Exec 15 Feature Pack 4 or later

Cause

Backup Exec mounts backup sets as junction points when browsing Instant GRT enabled backup sets for individual items of Hyper-V virtual machines. The junction points are displayed on Windows Disk Management. Similarly Veritas System Recovery service reads all volumes and junction points when opening Veritas System Recovery console. Then, Veritas System Recovery console takes a long time to start.

Resolution

Please close Backup Exec console and restart all Backup Exec services before opening Veritas System Recovery console.

NOTE:
Drive status for junction points may be unavailable on Veritas System Recovery console. Please remove the unavailable drives. (See Figure 2)
