Error Message

EC950006: The destination is not valid.

Cause

This is due to System Recovery incorrectly defaulting to an unallocated 1MB partition during the restore wizard, as shown below:

Resolution

Workaround:

Go back to the Drives to Recover screen, click on Edit and then manually select the correct partition that has enough space to complete the restore. Click OK and continue with the restore.
