Description

Error Message

dbus.exceptions.DBusException: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply

install exited abnormally [1/1]

Cause

This is caused by a difference in the kernel version between a) the installed version of Linux where the recovery disk was created and b) the Linux install media (.iso) used when creating the recovery disk.

Resolution

Use an install media that has the same kernel version as the installed version of Linux where you are creating the recovery disk. If this is not possible, create the recovery disk on another server that has the same version of Linux and same kernel version.

To check the kernel version of the installed version of Linux, use the uname -r command. Use the following article to check the kernel version of the Red Hat iso image: https://access.redhat.com/solutions/659843.
