Description
Error Message

Cause
The server being recovered is the one where the storage space was configured and then it was booted using the SDR ISO. The Storage space configuration could not be understood with the SDR ISO and does not report in current disk layout as the ADK version used for SDR ISO creation was not compatible with the version of Windows used to configure the storage space.
Example: Windows 2019 was protected using SDR ISO created from Backup Exec 16 which uses ADK10.0. Since Windows 2019 is compatible with ADK 1809 and hence a SDR ISO created from this ADK version should work.
Resolution
Workaround when SDR ISO was created with a version of ADK which was not supported for the particular operating system version being restored -
-
Map the volumes available on the Storage Pools and Spaces manually during SDR restore.
OR
-
Restore the critical volumes (e.g. C:\, System State , any other drive where programs are installed) using SDR. Restore the volumes on Storage Pools and Spaces using online restore after the operating system has been recovered
Issue/Introduction
Storage pools and spaces don't show up in current disk layout when Simplified Disk Recovery ISO used to recover the server. The server is created with an older windows assessment and deployment kit.
