Veritas Backup Exec is not affected by the change of the Japanese era name. No action is required for Backup Exec.
Backup Exec displays the new era name in Job Monitor, Job History and/or Job Log when Operating System, which is Backup Exec server, supports the new era name. The display can be changed from Control Panel > Clock, Language and Region > Region > Change date, time, or number formats > Additional settings > Date.
