Solution /Workaround

Increase the retention of source differential backups so that all backups are available when scheduled duplicate runs

This issue is currently under investigation by Veritas Technologies LLC. Pending the outcome of the investigation, this issue may be resolved by way of a patch or hotfix in current or future revisions of the software. A duplicate job should fail with error "0xe0009444 - The requested source duplicate backup sets catalog record could not be found. Perhaps the media containing the source backup sets was previously deleted" when source backup set is not available. However for GRT backups if duplicate backup is scheduled to run at later time and any of the source differential backup is not available (expired and deleted) then the job completes as cancelled with below error.
