Windows could not start the Veritas System Recovery on Local Computer.
For more information, review the System Event log. If this is a non-Microsoft
service, contact the service vendor, and refer to the service-specific error

Cause

Anti-Virus software is scanning the Veritas folder and causing the service to fail.

Resolution

Add an Exclusion in the Anti-Virus software to exclude the Veritas folder (ie. "C:\Program Files\Veritas").

Issue/Introduction

The Veritas System Recovery Service will fail to start or will start and stop immediately.

The Veritas System Recovery User Interface will not connect to the service with an error:

This program is unable to connect and communicate with the Veritas System Recovery backup service on "ComputerName"
