Resolution

WORKAROUND:

  1. Open a command prompt (run as administrator)
  2. Execute the following command: regsvr32 ":\Program Files\Veritas\Veritas System Recovery\Shared\ErrorGui.dll"
  3. Confirm that the DLL was registered successfully, then reboot the machine

If the above steps do not resolve the problem, please try the following:

  1. Open a command prompt (run as administrator)
  2. Execute the following batch file "C:\Program Files\Veritas\Veritas System Recovery\fixinstall.bat"
  3. Reboot the machine

Backup Exec System Recovery has acknowledged that the above-mentioned issue is present in the current version(s) listed under the Product(s) Section of this article. Backup Exec System Recovery is committed to product quality and satisfied customers.
 
This issue is currently under investigation by  Backup Exec System Recovery. Pending the outcome of the investigation, this issue may be resolved by way of a patch or hotfix in current or future revisions of the software.
